Post subject:  Polishing a Clubman bonnet

How many Clubman owners find that when they are polishing their bonnet it flexes right in the middle and makes a loud *clump* *clump* noise?

Just a bit of a design flaw when they put the bracing underneath , they didn't put it back far enough . Must have left room for people to put big downdraft webbers on with bonnet scoops .....

there's nothing wrong with it so it isn't a design flaw is it? certainly is handy for bonnette scoop. (i ctna' slpel)

I got a dint in my Clubby bonnet from pushing too hard to latch it!!!

Mine is solid as a rock and the soundproofing stops the "dooomp dooomp"...lolol

Could also try oiling the catch and adjusting it if needed.

Just don't polish it then, works for me, but do you notice how those tough as round nose bonnets don't do it. Far superior design. :P
