I am fitting a set of twin 1 1/2" SU's to my Clubman and not sure what Needles and dashpot springs to fit. The carbs were off some Jap car and the spring lengths are 100mm. These are shorter than the standard SU spring. Also the needle recomended for twin 1 1/2" SU's in an old Mini Car Clinic catalogue are number 7.
My engine is a new 1275 + 40 thou, extractors with 1 3/4" exhaust, compression is up a bit and the cam is a bit lumpy and an electronic distributor. Any suggestions please.
