Ian Pull the door trims off and get some one to lock the door from both inside and outside while you watch what is happening and whats not. Its a mechanical thing and may just need an adjustment. If the key part is not working then it may need a locksmith but the last lockie I went to just said buy a newer car so I just smiled and nodded at him while inside I wished that he already had had his very last BJ. There is no crueler punishment. |

is it possible to get the original mini locks re-keyed to be the same as the ignition? cos the door locks are quite shallow |

Yeah they were from new, but as mine has been changed only the boot and ignition are keyed the same, i would like to get the door changed. How do i go about getting this done? Can someone come to me to do it? do i have to take the lock out of the door? |

its always cheaper if you pull the lock out and take it to a locksmith workshop ,my shop would charge around 30-40 to rekey the barrell ,so use that as a guide ,in this it would also get a good service with new springs and tumblers (toyota) ![]() |
