I have a 1275 Morris 1100S engine that has major low oil psi issues, the engine is still together but I believe it is the main bearings that are causing the problem.
What I want to get an idea of rebuild and machining costs on a few things, the bare minimum first and then the more extensive machining that may be needed.
So lets say it's just the main caps, what would that cost to replace
Or on the other hand lets say the whole crank assembly is damaged, what would I be looking at

and rough costs please.
-main bearings
-Line boring
-crank grind
-oil pump
Am I over looking some things or should I ignore some things that rarely need doing in this situation?
Also seeing as it is an 1100S that means it's most likely a large journal crank so what would it cost to wedge, balance and
stroke it?
Main caps are not interchangeable. If the main bearings have not spun, new bearings will fix it. Otherwise an engine reco shop will close the caps by grinding a little off, then line bore it. It would cost more than another block & caps would.
Crank grind- last one I got done last year cost $200 for a straight regrind.
If you want it stroked, it's $300.
Oil pump is under $50.
Crank wedging-I did my own (took 6 hrs)- GR does it in about 1/2 that as his mill is bigger. Allow $400, it may be less.
Balancing- $less than $100 including flywheel assembly.
As for whether it's a big journal crank, the changeover point was at engine number 12YD/Ta/H10488. Below that it's a small journal tufftrided crank with S rods. Can't stroke them but they work just fine and don't really need wedging for a street motor.
Crank test the crank before proceeding, regardless which one it is.
