After getting a wheel alignment done about an hour ago, my mini seems heaps faster, is this just me or does this actually stop some resistance from the wheels?
I still seem to have a bit of a camber issue, do I need to get an adjustable camber kit or something?

they may have inflated the tyres if they were down a bit, that always makes a difference, especially to the steering.

Possibly the placebo effect. Like when u put a louder muffler on ur stock Hyundai Excel. Because its louder, u believe its faster?

Unless u had some serious toe out or toe in, and were scrubbing the hell out of ur tyres, then correcting this may make some difference, but otherwise id say no....

Depends how bad it was to start with , when I bought the sports850 it's alignment was so far out that every 4 or 5 seconds the steering wheel would shudder as the wheels fought each other to go straight . Both front wheels were bald and almost to the canvas on the insides and near new tread on the outsides (or other way around , it was 14 or so years ago now) . Got new tyres and a wheel alignment and it was a different car , no vibrations and it didn't seem to go faster , it did go faster .

I think you could be right about the placebo affect. I will see how it goes on the freeway tomorrow morning, hopefully it IS faster and not just feeling faster. It didn't seem to bad before, but then again i have never had an alignment done since ive been driving it, which is about 6 months.

i had a poor wheel alignment. i did it home and stuggled to get past 155kmh on the track but after could manage just under 170kmh. a good wheel alignment can change a car so much. alot of new cars have wheel alignment problems and need to be done about once a year.

Yeah i think the car is better, both performace and handling. One thing that has improved is the noise coming from the back only occurs when really giving it around a corner.

Do what Chong did- go to Jim Hunter Suspensions in 3rd Ave, Blacktown.
Open Saturdays, too.
He has an old skool in floor type aligner, and knows how to use it properly.

I had mine done at Bridgestone Tyrecentre in Midland. The manager is a nice bloke called Rob... They have an older type alignment machine that fits the mini, I dont think the newer machines like those at Beaurepaires can do it.

Heath, I got the wheel alignment done at a beaurepairs in melville, just off leach hwy. They said they had some slight trouble locking the wheels or something because they were to small, but they got it done eventually. Cost me $60.
