If you sit a car on all 4 and don't move it for ages, does it ruin your tyres? |

my moke sat on its tyres (also flat) for 2.5 years out in the rain and sun theyre pumped up and im bloody amazed they're still on when cold, when braking i hear a very distinct scrape stopping at 5km/h to 0km/h i think the drums lock (miracle, eh) and the left rear tyre skids but it only happens when i havent driven it for a week they soften up after a short drive, so get better grip |

a Moke can do anything! I am convinced!! If I sat JAM on new tyres for a year, would that be OK? |

were you constantly pushing it in and out? if yes, then good, if not, then i dont think a year would damage the tyres, if not let bathed in the sun, petrol, etc the sulfur in the rubber would be enough to hold it together and keep it durable ive heard of cars with the 40 year old original dunlops on them... not too sure about that |

I'm sure if they sit on grass for some time they do not recover at all ![]() ![]() |

Put a set of crappy old stockers with bald tyres on it. Store your good wheels indoors (under the house, in the garage, under your bed etc). If this is not an option, move the car every month or so - just a few inches forward or back so all the weight is not resting on one part of the tyre the whole time. ![]() |
