spoke to the jap import place on bell street in preston (jpa imports i think) with all the skylines.

They said that they can and will import minis from japan for anyone that wants one. The didnt know a price but wanted to know what colour I wanted

theres a jap import mini in a yard in ballarat, its back, looks tidy, austo.

BUT it has the wrong arches on it ()which make it look shite), and it costs $10k

They will only import pre-1989 cars, as nobody has RAWS compliance for 1989 onwards Minis yet.

That means 998cc, unless you do an engine swap after it arrives. The 1275 engine didn't make a comeback until 1990 with the RSP Cooper.
