The Austin Ant was like a Moke but baised on the Morris/Austin 1100. Look at the wheels, they are 12" 1100 wheels

Mokes on 10's are the best. Especially on WIDE 10's and lowered substansially to suit.

This is cool too

Couldn't agree more, my 10" wheeled Moke was unreal  Even managed to get it log-booked as an 'Open Sports Car' with CAMS - that's why it has doors

Moke was built up in 86 / 87. ( Was originally a 1275, rear-tanked Californian). Full Cooper 'S' running gear, 45 DCOE Weber, 649 cam, high-lift rockers etc. adjustable suspension, 10" x 6" steel wheels with slicks. Alloy cage, Light weight subframes and shell (510kg all up). Nick-named the 'Flying Tile' because it wasn't quite a 'Brick'. Vic Hillclimb Championship class champion in 1988, couple of class records as well if I recall correctly. Went like the clappers up to about 80mph, but after that the lack of aerodynamics hindered it's progress.
Car was sold in 1989.

That's gotta be one of those Vectra 2.0 or 2.2 litre engines.

Curly: in the first picture of the moke storming up the hill, is that sand on the track, or smoke coming from the front tyres?
