Hey, if anyone is heading to the Motor Show this weekend, can you please snap a pew pics of the 'NEW' Torana and email me them????

I have a soft spot for 'REAL' Torana's, as my first 4 cars were Torries, including an original SLR/5000 that I restored in the same fashion as JAM.

Sorry this aint Mini related, but if I post this in the General Chat, no one will read it before the weekend.

Thanks.

While they are at it, could they take a pic of the MINI Cabriolet and send it to me.

Has it got anything in common with the original Torana? I can't see anything yet.

yeh sure, starts with a T and ends with an A

like many of the new models, theyre based on the current common models
like the new monaro looks nothing like the old monaro
looks like the new common-door

Just got a newsletter via email from MINI and they have two MINI Cabrio models on display at the Sydney Motor Show. A Hot Orange MINI Cooper and a blue Cooper S.

Outstanding work Kevin!! Thats a great gallery!!

I must say that reviving the Torana is quite exciting for me....but the only thing I like about the 'NEW' Torana is the badge....

Nothing beats a drop tank, flares, dual exhaust and chunky rear spoiler!!

SG got it right....it's just like a damn Vectra.....

I agree bet it sounds nothing like the old torana's either.

I think though with new models like this u have to really treat it as a new car and try not to compare it to its predicesor. Although badging may be the same, its a new and different car to fit in with todays society and nothing would compare to the original.

Just my opinion anyway
