I have a soft spot for 'REAL' Torana's, as my first 4 cars were Torries, including an original SLR/5000 that I restored in the same fashion as JAM.

i wish perth got the sydney motor show.. we just get the rejects and it ends up being one big new car lot... if i want to see new cars i can go to a dealership

It looks disturbingly like the new vectra to me.... but with a twin turbo v6 @ 280kw

I must say that reviving the Torana is quite exciting for me....but the only thing I like about the 'NEW' Torana is the badge....

Nothing beats a drop tank, flares, dual exhaust and chunky rear spoiler!!

SG got it right....it's just like a damn Vectra.....

I agree bet it sounds nothing like the old torana's either.

I think though with new models like this u have to really treat it as a new car and try not to compare it to its predicesor. Although badging may be the same, its a new and different car to fit in with todays society and nothing would compare to the original.

Just my opinion anyway
