I drove the mini today for the 3rd time since I bought it just to put petrol and it stalled on me twice!!!

Clutch Issue

happened when on 1st gear moving from full stop, it seems like I just have to release the clutch pedal just a tiny bit so it wont stall. The last incident happened when I'm trying to park the mini and just trying to move it slowly.

Battery/Earth Issue

Also I noticed the ignition warning lamp is coming on and off, checked the battery earth and its connected pretty tight. Battery died when I took it from the engineer from not starting for 3 weeks, then re-charged the battery.

I'm thinking bad battery, might try my good one later.

I'm booking Missy to TheMiniMan pretty soon for checkup

Possibly clutch adjustment. Various owners manuals show how to adjust it.

what speed have you set the idle at, if its to low the car will stall and the warning lights will come on and only switch off when revs rise

Rob

if you have a bit of time on Saturday, bring the car around and we can go through the clutch adjusting process with you, set your idle speed and check the alternator so that it will hopefully be reliable to get you over to Matty Read.

Just a question for the forum, how do we post pdf files? I can post any part of the manual in pdf if I knew how.
