I bought some twin 1.25" HS2 carbs off eBay and would recommend it (if you can find a decent seller).

My guy said he got them off a mini (yeah right unless it had a hole hacked in the firewall) and said they would bolt straight up (on the listing it said that) but when I got them I found they were off a Morris Minor or something (that has the north south A series) and the inlet manifold was too long to fit with out chopping the firewall and the carbs had the numbers followed by F and R.....(front and rear NOT L(eft) and R(ight) for a mini). Was bit peeved off but I got them for the right price and they were in pretty good nick.

I did however get them rebuilt for piece of mind because just about any set you get will have worn shafts, but other than that they are brilliant. You REALLY notice how asthmatic a single 1.25" is!

Go eBay and specifically ask for the numbers on the float bowls and see if they end in L and R. I'd still recommend it though.

I'm not sure what parts you need for twin carbs but I know people who have done it (it was quite a while ago and can't remember what they did). I'm SURE someone on here will know the information you're looking for.

Its a cheap worth while up-grade.

All you need to join them is a bit of 5/16" dia steel shafting, and a couple of W-clamps from your local carby shop.
Morris 850 Sports had this setup, so did countless aftermarket kits for Minis and 1100s from Warneford, Lynx, Peter Manton, etc.
