I have a red 77' Mini CLubman, that has a cracked block... And also have a 1976 Mini Clubman S that has too much cancer and I want to do an engine change over.

The problems I have is that I have no experience or know-how with cars and I don't really want to pay cono at MiniCraft to do it as I am only a 1st year apprentice.

I would like any help avaliable and woudl appreciate an experienced helping hand.

Thanks Heaps Ian

Mate I'd be glad to help but I blew my knee out just over a week ago playing squash so I'd doubt I'd be any help at all. I've only just come back to work today after nearly two weeks off and it'll prolly be another couple of weeks till I can bend it properly. If you've had no luck by the time I'm firing on all pistons again I might be able to pop round with the gear and give you hand.

Where are you at? When do you want to do it?

Pending a leave pass from the Minister for War and Finances (AKA the wife...), I can give you a hand. Let me know when and where.
Will there be nibblies? :)

I've got a hoist and all the other stuff as well. I dont mind lending it out to fellow Mini people. But I cant drive at the moment, or walk really. But if you guys need it you can swing by and grab it :)

Footy commitments pending, I'll lend an arm.

Shouldn't take long with the right tools, so long as you have all the parts.

I live in Ballajura, which is near Malaga.. around Morley area....

I don't have much tools really, no engine hosit.. Should have all the parts as the yellow mini runs...

I am not sure when I want to do it as I have to get the red mini back from mechanics, which should be this week if towing cost is reasonable, if not will try and get a cra trailer or something...

I will see if I cna arrange a BBQ or something...

Sat or Sun, mornings are best.
So long as it's not next weekend, I think I'm free the rest of the month...
