That explains the insect nest in the vent hole.

Ready to bolt on and start....

How is it going to start without a jet?
Why is the float bowl on that angle? Is it a downdraught carby? 8)

What a goose! How can anyone try to sell a an incomplete carby as "Ready to bolt on and start" I hope it is nobody on Ausmini that is selling it.

I forgot that to mention the screws are missing from the dashpot.

Should we ask some questions to the seller?

The little ID plate on the float bowl is gone (because there are no screws in it) so it would be impossible to tell what it is REALLY off of. People will try to sell anything on eBay.

You've gotto look at the positives, at least someone won't lose a lot of money IF it does sell. I wouldn't pay that for 'half' a carb though!

Here is my question to him:

Is the carby complete or is this just an example of an SU. It is missing the jet so will not work in any vehicle. The screws are all missing off the dash pot and there are no linkages. The float doesnt work real well at that angle either. If this is just a piccie then great but I hope this isnt being sold as a working carby because it aint...Cheers

I think I had everything - feel free to add to it...
