fellas,
and women.. (better not forget them or i'll be hearing from the union)

i need to do a rear wheel bearing
and my balljoints
+ engine mounts

question regarding the balljoints and wheel bearing.
is it worth me doing? its a bit of an effort doing mechanical stuff on my mini coz i dont have any tools, so i need to go to a mates and blah blah blah..
ive been quoted approx $400 for balljoints and about $200 for rear wheel bearing. they were quoted like 2 months ago so i dont remember the actual prices.

do they take much time?
parts cost??
is it for experienced people only?

help a fella in need

parts for both of those jobs will be no more than $100- $150 dependent on where you get them from. Labour is what is expensive.

Cheers

if you havent done it before and if you think you would be guessing how to do a lot of it....take it to a pro.

Even though I do all my own work, I once got half way through a timing belt replacement job and thought f**k it.....so I put it back together and drove down to joe blow's workshop and said "here, you do it!"

In your case, for piece of mind, just take it to a pro and pay the bux.

nah, I cant believe that price for the wheel bearings. I got Tapered bearings for the front for under a hundred bucks, the standard bearings for the rear shouldnt be that expensive even.
