Hey All

If anyone is down the South Coast of NSW, or wants a drive, there is a Rally on this weekend at Batemans Bay. Go to the North Shore Sporting Car Club Website for more details - they will have spectator instructions up there today or tomorrow.

I'm making my rallying debut in the monster of a car that is my Bog Stock Standard Hyundai Excel in the starters rally, but there is top level guys running the full event there as well, so some great action for any spectators.

If anyone is serious about going, there is a really good deal on accommodation at the Murramarang Resort (where I'm staying). They are sponsoring the event, and offering a great deal - $99 per night for a two bedroom cabin!! Just tell them you're a competitor or official - and on that, they are screaming out for officials if anyone can help. Easy stuff, just do a road closure. All you do is park your car across the road to stop people going onto the stages, and get a damn good view of the rally action.

I'm staying in Canberra on Friday night (at my Co-Drivers place), then getting up at sparrow's on Saturday to make the trip over (only about an hour and a half??). C'mon South coasties and Canberrians - come and check it out!!

Sadly have other things already scheduled.... but have spent many a great weekend officialing and few driving (usually warmer and less dusty!) in the past.

sorry Bob, can't make it to watch. Although i will be in Mollymook, and the nearest spectator point is only 35 minutes away, i suspect that by the time the first car is expected through there i will be well on the way to being staggeringly drunk at our digs.
