Post subject: | Winding window lube |
I put a new window regulator on the drivers side of my car. The original one was stuffed and slipping when I got the car. While I was changing the regulator little things like a missing washer or two and worn screw heads told me I wasn't the first person to do this. Now the winder work but takes a bit of force which will eventually screw the new regulator. I figure lubing the the window slides will help but I get the impression the door may be a little warped causing the friction. So what sort of lube does one use on the slides on either side of the windows without putting filth all over the windows? |

probably a little wd40 or similar would do the trick? maybe a tiny smear of vaseline? be careful though, as you want to watch out for the muck |
