If the cheap three dollar ones are snapping, splash out six bucks and get one of those real special teflon lined ones from a bike shop.

Go on, your mini deserves it!

I can't see any difference in the cables, except one cost thirty and the other costs six...
The coopers has lasted ten years since I last changed it.

Those spring you get outta grab kits aren't so very good.
I like the springs used on twin SUs, they're kinda soft and progressive.
but there must be common ones out there which are ok, maybe from another car? What do other people use?

They are talking about me

It's the linkage angle and the sweep is so long that the nut bends the wire on full throttle..eventually fatigues it and breaks.

you can buy these adapter things from a roles or jag/bentley..i dont know, but its a right angled elbow piece so you can conect the speedo cable and instead of it hitting your air filter it goes off on a angle downwards... i've broken 2 cables before aswell.
