Post subject:  metal on metal mice squeeking noise

hi all,
every time i hit a bump or am floating along on the wonders of hydrolastic suspension i get a sound like mice squeeking in the back (it's not mice i checked!) hehe
it's coming from the van rear doors or around that area any suggestions on what it could be and how to get rid of it?
i suspect it could be the locking pole things that go up into the holes when you close the door but have no idea cause it's hard to drive and lie in the back!

Are you sure it's body and not suspension ? When the nylon cups that the suspension knuckles fit into wear they squeak on bumps like an old falcon . Failing that , trial and error with a little bit of grease on your finger on various contact areas till the squeak stops , just use a smidgen of grease and be aware of it when you open the doors so you don't coat yourself in it ....

If you think it could be the suspension , squirt a bit of wd40 or oil into the cup and take it for a drive to confirm it , but only if you're pretty sure it's coming from there otherwise you might wash more grit etc into it and wear them prematurely . Have the knuckles got the rubber boots on them still and are they in good nick ?

knuckles is just what I know them as , the little ball type thing at the end of the displacer rod that sits in the nylon cup , cup and ball sounds right .

Possibly?

Or in our Estate,, a similar-sounding sound comes from the exhaust hangers where the metal strap goes around the tailpipe. Haven't had time to source a solution yet, though.
