Hi Guys,

Sorry for re-posting this in the Mini Chat setion - I tried the wanted area and didn't get any bites.

I'm sure someone has a spare set of these in their garage that they are never going to use, and I'm getting a little desperate as the LSD is pulled appart and the mechanic wants to finish the job so I can pay him.

I need a new set of plates for a salisbury LSD. The plates in the one I have are bent.

If no-one has any new ones spare, can they recommend where I might find them?

Thanks,

jacks.

Hi Guys,

No reply from mini spares. Can anyone help?

I'm pretty desperate as my new engine is ready to bolt together - gearbox is holding me up.

Thanks,

jacks.

LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH PACK MINI COOPER S

The limited slip sold by Mini Mania for the last 10 or so years has had the same fantastic specifications and design even though it might have been by different manufacturers. The good news is not only that they have been almost bullet proof but that maintenance, if any, can be done with the same spares. If your LSD is not operating to your exact standards after all these years, it probably needs a replacement clutch pack. This kit includes all the parts needed to rebuild almost any LSD sold by Mini Mania (except those from Jack Knight).
On SALE: $169.95
List Price: $189.95

Part No: C-AHT584

Car(s):
MINI,SPRITE

I've emailed those guys about 10 times with no reply. My LSD is a classic Salisbury - I don't know how old it is but at least 10-15 years. Do you reckon the clutch kit they are selling will fit?

Sorry I only have a theoretical knowledge of LSDs. I saw the ad and thought it might assist you. I should point out that MM is proably the most expensive place you could go to buy these (or indeed any other Mini part for that matter). I have been thrown off the MM web forum for pointing this out to potential customers...

Minispares in the UK will use exactly the same part numbers but may prove even harder to get in touch with. One might assume that thises people are in business to sell you stuff but the problems you are having prove otherwise..

Good luck, Ian
