Is it possible to paint over a the mini chrome bumper and make the paint actually stick? If so, how can you do this? |

hmmmm....I knew the answer to this years ago, but I forget now. ![]() I think you have to strip the chrome, then paint, for the best effect. If you use a really good primer you might get away with it over chrome. Good question though. What colour are you thinking of? I am sure in the UK you can buy black bumpers new! |

get it sandblasted for about 30 bux ea and then prime and paint you can paint over chrome but with the age of the thing, the chrome will fall off anf take the paint with it (make sure you rust treat (just with rust converter from super cheap or some other phosphoric acid based rust converter) and paint the underside too) |

Cheers. Does sandblasting actually remove chrome though?Or is that just to roughen it up so the primer sticks better? |
