spray around the top of trumpet with WD40, leave a while...
Then put the trumpet in a vice, go round it with a cold chisel and a BFH....
If all else fails, cut it off next to the cone, then split & remove the remains with the chisel, or dremel it.

Hi all, was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a way to remove the alloy cone from the rubber section of the front suspension cones on an early mini. I have already taken them out of the subframe and did this without the compression tool (was a pain in the #%@* but got it done). So anyway now i am rebuilding the front suspension and all that but cannot separate the alloy from the rubber... have got a set of hi-lows to fit. Ps. i don't have the tool to compress the rubber... All hints and clues welcome, Cheers, Bryan |
