Checked the voltage in your battery?

If its OK, try cleaning the battery terminals and give it whirl.

Do you know how to clutch start?

yeah, but if i can't i have a big hill i have to push her back again.

i figure the terminals are ok becuase of how bright the lights are, it is the fact that nothing lights up (the little red and orange light) on the dash.

edit: i'll check the voltage when i get a chance. i might twist the leads on the terminals a bi see if that changes anything.

My understanding is that if the solenoid is active, but the starter wont turn, your options are:

low/dead battery (you may have anough in the battery to run th electrics but not turn the starter. I have this but only with large high compression engines. My lack of mini experience doesnt allow me to be difinitive)

Curcuit to the starter is incomplete, suggesting dud earth

Battery terminals providing poor connection

Other than the grill Have you changed anything in the last couple of days?

gotta say i laughed when i saw this idea but itried it roar she started.

the red and the orange light don't light up though.

stupid me, i turned her off, after leaving her running for a while, to she if she would start again and now not even the lights light up, i guess it's a flat battery.

mabey time i bought a new battery.

there is one thing that has happenned  used the abttery to start a mates car and a bit of acid came out.

yes it is time i bought a new battery.

maybe wait to see if you can charge your battery up.

I had this the other day and it was the orange light was disconnected. This sounds stupid but with my alternator if the light is not working the alternator wont charge the battery as the circuit is broken without the light.

Did you check your fuses'

I am no mechanic and even less of an auto elec. I know what its like when you are on p's and young. 90AUD for a battery is alot. Maybe check out the other possibilites begore forking out money for a new battery.

I now have a strong and powerful 90 dollar door stop :)
