That rearview mirror looks a little more aero dynamic than the ones currently on molly ![]() |

looks like you have got another carby there, obviosuly cant tell size, but the one with the airbox on it still looks like it could be complete |

The mirrors go for about 50 bucks when they are new. I have 2 they cost me 50 bucks each |

yeah but this one is farkid it has a dent in it, the holder bit is pushed in at an angle a bit and the little ledge bit which gose onto the rubber seal then onto the mini has been shaved off. i dunno what was happening with it. ![]() ![]() |

Mate - everything you have there is bog standard. I havn't been cattle dogging information on your mini so I dont know what your mini has and doesn't have on it at the moment, so i cant advise on what will enhance.. What you in the photos is a series of standard carbies, both 1 1/4" and 1 1/2 su's and a couple of cut down and stocker manifolds. There is also a stocker clubbie heater assembly. Before you find the heater make sure the fan works (hook it up to a battery charger) and check that the heater core radiator hasn't rotted and is allowing water to escape. Now, in general terms, all minis breath very poorly - that is; they almost never get enough fuel / air mixture at the right time. The next bigger carby give a better supply of fuel / air and enhanced power and performance BUT it must have the correct needles (or jets) and it must be correctly tuned. Smaller carbies were originally fitted on minis becaused they sacrificed performance in favour of petrol economy and the pomgolians loved that. It flowed on here as well. You can fit the bigger carby and you will get better performance but only if every thing is in balance and properly tuned. But you are not going to leave a highway patrol car speechless at the lights. Its a marginal improvement at best. |

wel i was poking around today, inside the engine bay. and compared the carbi i have to the others. the one without the filter is smaller. the other one is the same. which one is the 1 1/2 and which is the 1/14. (i guess bigger is 1 1/2, but can someone verify. and does that mean i shouldn't change it and i should keep the more powerful one i have?) |
