I'd love to know what was going through his mind at that moment though I'm sure it wasn't printable ... Anyone know where the footage is yet as I only saw a short grab of it on the news that night . |

He probably would have landed , slowed down and been hit by the cars following , just be thankful all the drivers are ok , a mini can be replaced , even one that well prepared , but people can't . |

Looks like the rear tyre is beginning to slip and the tail is coming out. The front tyre looks dangerously like its about to either pop off the bead or the rim is about to dig into the track surface. I would say that most of the cars behind were already starting to think about lifting off and planning evasive action |

I would say that most of the cars behind were already starting to think about lifting off and planning evasive action When Lance Stannard (Burgundy Mini) gets back here to WA , I'd be interested to get his story...... he sure would have seen it all happen ! |

I was chatting to Dave just before the race and he asked me to get soem great shots LOL. I took the whole sequence - will post next week. Dave dived up the inside of red cortinainto breaking area and rode the ripple strip which acted like a ramp. Car rode on two wheels for about 50 metres, hit tyre barrier and came very close to coming over the wall. |
