I actually sent my car for roadworthy without the parking lights hooked up. OF course it is a roadworthy item.. oops.

Now before i send it back, i need to know which front lights should turn on with parker switch selected.

the rears are lit.

Should the front indicators light up ONLY, or do the head lights need to come on too??

Or is it that the indicators DONT need to be on and the headlights ONLY?

its a 63 850

rear lights and front parkers (blinkers) should be on. Head lights and brake lights off.

I have forgotten - are the roundie parkers/indicators a twin filament bulb.

Perhaps the answer in a nut shell - do you have single filament bulbs fitted. ???

Im not sure mike, but i have the original lights that came with the car 6 years ago fitted!

As it turns out, when parkers are applied, my rear brake lights and numberplate light are on but no indicators!

At the front, my indicator to 'parker' wires are disconnected.. I dont know where to plug them into.

Could i have stuffed up some wiring back at the fuse box or somthing?

everything seems to be functioning properly otherwise. At the rear the wires are all hookedup to the correct colour codes, before disappearing into the loom. Where do they re emerge at??

I was looking at the wiring diagram, but as far as i can tell according to it, indicators only have 2 wires, (which is wrong (or read wrong).

thanks for the diagrams mike..

with much reluctance i decided to remove the glass cover from one of the indicators (they were a pain in the ass to put on!). I foud that it was a single filiment globe.. whilst the other is a double.

So ill go buy some new globes now.

Even so, what is the phsyical point where the rear lights loom comes out to make a connection to somthing (where the break lights may be switched with teh indicators for parker setting)

oops sorry about that, all it was was the single filiment globe causing *that* problem. I told you it was a silly question!

But now there is just the problem of the rear brakelights / #plate light being on instead of the indicators when on park.

Where physically can i switch the wires to fix this problem??

:)

On the rear you are supposed to have the tail light (not the brake light filament but the other filament in the globe) and the number plate light on when the switch is in the park position.
On the front you are supposed to have the parking light in the blinker on.

You are not supposed to have the blinkers on.

In my case the rear brake lights are on 'dim' (ie. parkers??)
rear flashers are totally off
front flashers are on dim

kosher?
