 Post subject: I can't floor it

On the weekend I put a kit into the HS4 on my car as the jet was badly worn, now it cruses along fine but when I put the foot to the floor the engine dies, whats going on?

Did u centre the jet? Did u confirm that the needle and piston assy move freely and dont bind up?

ok, it's fixed now, not sure what it was I just replaced the air filter and it started working properly

Just because it started working again dosnt mean anything. Did u centre the jet correctly when u replaced it? If u lift the piston up inside the dash pot is it able to move freely? Can u hear a metalic clink when it falls back down?

Yeah I checked everything before I put it back together and after it was back together, seems to be running fine now but I will get it tuned properly tomorrow, will see how it goes then.

I had this exact same problem on the standard su on my 998cc, I hadn't touched anything, however it was running without an air filter at the time (wasn't going anywhere but my garage anyway), then out of no where it started working normally again. However, mine was doing it when I revved the engine in neutral, not driving.
