Post subject: | Door hinge bolts should i bother attempting |
I have just had new hinges fitted however the top drivers side one has come lose now i understand how this could happen as the bolts behind at the top under the wheel arch are a biatch so should i attempt to tighten it up myself or take it back i would rather do myself then driving all the way there and waiting for it etc so what to use and how to im sure you guys must know some tricks wheel on or off special tool?? |

For the rear bolts/nuts I use a Sidchrome 7/16" short ring/OE spanner, with the ring end severely thinned down on the grinder. On the front bolts you can use a 3/8 square drive socket and ratchet. ![]() Wheel off is better. |

so its not un doable myself or is it very difficult also i am assuming i close the door when tightening |

I took my hinges off a few months ago, all i used was a ring spanner from memory. No fancy schmancy tools, was pretty straight forward. Shard |

just take the wheel off and stick your head right up there if you can and go for it ![]() its not a real fun job |
