Gents,

Need a run down of how to install the sliding windows into my 850.

Thanks.

From what I've read it's reverse of removal proceedure.

Probably should've read the bit before. :?
Sorry.

roughly as i remember

*you push the glass into the upper channel (roof side).
*Place the bottom end of the glass into the lower channel (which is not attached to the door at this stage).
*Then push upwards and try force the lower channel into the window ledge.

once its in hold it steady and alternatively open and close the windows so you can put self tapping screws through the lower channel into the window ledge.

Refit is not always reverse of removal, because removal can be forced out without any idea!

This was aPIT, the lower channel is acctually longer than the window ledge, so you have to slide it in on an angle (so it can over hang into the vertical channels at the ends).

sorry for the confusing instructions :\ i think thats the way i did it

Yes each end but the screws are buried in the furry felt of the channel

not just each end.. there should be several screws spanning the whole channel.

they're just self tappers, i cant remember what size, but quite small.. i should have a heap of them somewhere
