Hey guys,

If i try to help out by searching for something that i KNOW has been asked countless times - ie. front tyres - i get 400 something pagesof topics that are of NO USE TO ME WHATSOEVER! :?

Any suggestions / ideas as to how to refine searches better and not have to waste peoples time when i could find it myself? :D

This topis has been covered before. Use the search button!
:D

Use the authors name if known,
tick the option "search for all objects" and use as many words as you can.
Category if known can be of use, but not if topic was moved.
:D

I used to find it confusing, not everyone is 100% literate with computers as well , I think it'd be a good idea for those who want to know how to refine searches.

TIP

say you want to search gearboxes from a k or S

type remote gearbox , k box or S box

if its a wheel question u have and you want answers

type 12" 13"

it's simple once you get the hang of it, however occasionally I still hit dead ends. Bottom line is just keep typing in "like" words til you fin d something that helps you.

btw ..... Im not being a smart*** above, some people jsut need stuff spelt out for them slowly and preciously.

Have fun searching boys n girls

that's a good point...

people seem to always say..

"I have a question"

or

"Can you help!"

when it should be..

"Subframe question"

or

"U bolt Help"

What are you looking for BohoMini?

If you are searching for one word, try spelling it a few different ways in the search bar.... and dont forget to add plurals

so search for .... "Tire, tyre, tires, tyres"

As an example, when I was looking for things to do with superchargers, I would search:

"Super, superch*, *charger"

Alot of people spell the same words in different ways, and the "S" at the end of a word can exclude it from your results, so it pays to also use the asterisk as a wildcard...

Also helps to use a username to narrow down results too, if you can remember who posted in that thread.

eg: to find a thread where person "X" said a particular word.
