Hi all

Can anyone tell me what colour the Cooper S in the Mini K brochure is.

If you haven't seen it or have one it can be found here http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?akaado15f.htm on page 6.

Cheers
Steve

The colour is Indigo blue The brochure is from 1968 . The next brochure they issued had a MK2 S instead of the displayed MK1.

Not so sure it is Indigo Blue. I have a BMC parts catalogue with the colour charts and years on it. My fathers original paint Indigo Blue Cooper S is a little darker and more green than that. The book lists the 1968 colour as Baltic blue. Indigo oficially started on the mk 1 S in 1969 and was originally only available with a solid blue roof. Perhaps the booklet says otherwise for that particular car?

Dusk Blue??

I had a Morry 1100 that we ripped the engine out of. It was originally Dusk Blue, looked very much like that colour. I could be wrong though, as it was only the inside of the boot, and inside of the car that was still the original colour as the car had been repainted in a different blue during its life.

It is a Mini K brochure so I would think it was from mid 1969. The Mini K beat the Mk2 S onto the market so that is why it would still have a Mk1 in the photo. My guess Indigo Blue.

According to the Dulux book
Indigo Blue was available from 1967 to 1969.
Dusk Blue was a 1964 colour.
Baltic blue is listed as a 1970 colour.

I haven't seen any mention of Viareggio blue yet, I think this was a colour in this period also.

Maybe this particular blue is nothing like the picture, or maybe another reason why it hasn't been mentioned.

Any thoughts :?:
