ive just tried to fit a new accelerator cable to my 66 mini deluxe. It doesnt seem to be long enough and now it isnt very smooth. Any ideas on how i make sure the cable sleeve is seated in the firewall properly? Its really hard to get the hand in there. It should be the perfect length shouldnt it?

Ive always used the inner of a bike brake cable, just cut it to length, 1 end has the knob on it so it will fit onto ur accelerator pedal n not pull through.
