Hey guys just thought i'd let you know of my alignmend woes. Perhaps it will intice those that don't do it often to get it done. After having a couple of tyres fitted today we went to align them but the alignment machine wouldn'e go small enough to fit my 10inch wheels. After ringing around I found a place that could do it. After setting it all up we found that my wheels were toed in 15mm. Camber was 1degree negative on on side and zero on the other. I guess that explained why my last set of tyres didn't last long. Luckily I have a fully adjustable suspention setup so it was an easy fix. Just wish i did it earlier. |

The toe-in would be the reason the tyres scrubbed out quickly. The Camber is right on the edge of the tolerance, you are allowed up to 1° variation between sides. It is a lot better if they are the same, I wonder what the camber would be with you sitting in the car? It can make a difference and most places ignore it! |

i had the same problem with mine, but found that LINK do it for 22$ in melbourne. I know its not near geelong, but thats half the price of what the others were chargin. I dont think they use a machine to set it though. |

nah its ok i got it done in the end at tyrepower geelong and was $30, not too bad. The guy who did it couldn't belive his eys. He said he hasn't seen one so bad before. 15mmis heaps to be out. Might explain a little why i wasn't getting good economy too. |
