Thing of getting a jap mini halfcut to solve upgrading problems( brakes, gearbox, motor, etc...)

My Question is this;

Can the rover subframe unbolt out of halfcut (about 90'ish) and into a 76 clubby or do i have to unbolt everything off the subframe and use the clubby subframe? :roll:
Has anyone done this and how much trouble is a halfcut?

Thanks

pretty sure its a direct swap.... You should speak to Doogie (2 s and a clubman) he has a white clubby with a rover conversion up for sale... It even has A/C...

The subframe mounts are all different on the later import (Jap/english) minis

can be done tho, but if it were me then i`d swap out all the bits from the frames & into your frames

Top tower bolts will fit through the large hole that exists in between each of the two (four) top mounts on the old subframe.

Front mounts require the 'teardrop' mount to be utilised / or an alloy/whatever spacer.

Rear mounts require the rubber mount to be utilised. Again, this can be omitted and replaced with a solid mount... search ebayUK or miniresource, etc (UK forums) for "solid mount subframe kit".

Hope this is of help to you.
