I am just about to hang the doors back on my clubbie. Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

get someone to give you a hand

get some blocks or something the same height at the level your door will be sitting.

Do up the the inside ones (closest to front of car) not too tight at first! then close the door and get the other person to hold it exactly where you want it to sit - then you tighten up the other ones.

Thats just how we did it, seemed to work after we got the right hinges on

Yep definitly get a hand, don't try to do it yourself no matter how much you want to get it done.

I did this on my first mini and ended up scratching my new paint. Dont be tempted. If you have a trolley jack use that with a peice of wood on top to support the door. with the trolley jack you can rais and lower the door a tiny bit at a time.

DECENT QUALITY trolley jack with lots of rags around the lifting part... much better and more precise adjustment.

I did mine myself in the freezing cold. I admit to a couple of paint chips (nothing more than what I expected) on the underneath. I used bricks wrapped in carpet.

Use a second person to tell you how tight your bolts can go before they start to buckle the skin. I used the spacer washers but they still buckle.

spose this is going to get added to the list of sucky jobs that I have done on the mini. Its about as long as ...... well its bloody long.

I have found that what some consider sucky jobs to be alright jobs. 1/4 vent seals take time, putting in door glass is fidgety but very simple and hanging doors is much the same. Any of these jobs dont require any special tools or expertise - just patience.

Now broken sub frame bolts and rusted fuel tanks...
