Hi all Could ya's have a geez at my options and tell me what the best set up for a hot 1100 would be. I have got a high flow water pump I just have to sort out the fannage. Stock fan with a reco radiator(tanks removed and cleaned) Retro fitted thermo fan with stock radiator, retro fit front mount with thermo fan or 3 core with either of the above mentioned fan set ups. Thank you all |

I would stick with the plastic 11 blade fan and clean the radiator. Its designed to draw air around the engine and out past the wheel. Did the High flow water pump fit or the block had to be modified? Cheers, Peter. |

Is it a roundy or a clubby? I put an Alfa Romeo front-mount radiator in my LS, with its own thermo fan. That sure fixed the heating troubles. Bewdiful ![]() |

See if you can find a Morris 1100 radiator, they have a larger capacity, are about 2" wider than a Mini one and can quite easily be made to fit in the same position. Use the standard 11 blade plastic fan. |

If your regular radiator and fan is not keeping your mini cool all the time then you need to look at why it is doing so rather than going to a bigger setup straight away... Too cool is not always the answer With a brand new mini 3 core radiator, any fan, the correct cap, the correct timing, a working thermostat and a good coolant flush all minis should run cool and never overheat... Example: I took my old 3 core out of my car and compared it to a reconditioned 3 core and my old ones was comparatively heavier as it was chocked full of rust and gunk from years of service. The reconditioned one went in and I straight away noticed a big drop in temperature, even when idling in traffic. Just my 2 cents |
