Where?
How much?

Pics please too

Side mounted not front mounted, as in original posi. I know some of the Nb/c guys have em.

Mr. Enforcer Is doing front mounted ones for my Starlet Conversion, but he will make to any size/position.

I think around $600 for a full custom alloy one..

PM Grant (Boostedmini) He has a few contacts for the custom front mount he is getting made up too i think..

I have one. Custom made in Melbourne. I think I have seen one at Northern Mini Parts down here. Price, not sure on that but over the $600 mark.

PWR are probably the biggest makers of ally rads, do all the custom stuff and even supply a lot of overseas needs, try your local radiator shop as most of them can get them made

May i ask why you want an Alloy Rad?

The only thing is that they corrode very quickly under the wrong circumstance, you can't get them cleaned like a traditional brass one, and the alloy isn't any more heat efficient than the brass item anyway...

BUT the are alot tighter. Oh, and cool 8)

You can send PWR a mini radiator and they will make an exact copy of it. As everyone has said you are looking at about $600. A.R.E. is Brisbane wanted $900 for one so @ $600 PWR would be my choice.

natrad in windsor is charging me 240 for a recore in brass,

brass doesnt rust, more ro bust than alloy and has a better heat conductivity, but he might be having me on but i was recomended to him

but you have more water - so temp rises more slowly ?

My Nb came with one - not standard fitting but in basically same place - and runs electric fan inside the guard (yes legal for Nb as long as it can't be seen externally..)...

In the races I ran earlier this year didn't need to turn on the fan whilst racing... must have given me that extra little bit of HP to overtake the alfas and cortinas into turn 1 at Eastern creek.... before overbraking turn 2 and going bush :roll:

Anyway - here are pics from when I was buying the car ... this set up probably isn't road legal as the bottom just sits in a U channel... but very easy for maintenance! :wink:

With Alloy in the cooling system (Alloy heads and Radiators)..know the litres in the system and mix the collant correctly...Otherwise it will eat the alloy from the inside out
