fiddle sticks me dead. Coppers on bikes parked on side of road. 10 bikes in total. Pulling people over randomly. "Licence checks". Course i'm on my Ps so they pick on me. **** tell me to get outta car.
Get out, picks on me for having tape over headlights (rally style X)
Walks around car checks tires. "Your tires are bald as mate."- "Yeah i've just had the wheel alignment done and gonna get tires on Monday."
"Thats not good enough mate, gonna have to issue a defect." -"Whatever mate".

His senior snoops around the car. fiddle sticks i thought i was gonna get done for tail lights to... he just felt them- no comment.
He said my exhaust is defective too - sticks out and angled up too high. -"Yeah right dude, i'm not a boy racer"

So off i go with a defect sticker on windscreen and paper in hand. Gonna get tires monday hopefully... I'm allowed to drive it whereever in 72 hours then after that only between place of repair and home. fiddle sticks that.

Anyone in adelaide know of a place that STOCKS tires or something. I've ordered some and theyre gonna be at Bob Janes on monday.

OK heres some pics that show the baldness of the tires.
The LHS tire is much more rooted than the drivers side, which was all because of the loose bolts on the steering arm where it bolts to the hub.

i cant really see youe exhaust that well, but from the picture in your avatar, it doesnt look like its bent up that much.. the twin DTM on the matic is a lot more upswept by the looks, it didnt even occur to me this could be a problem..

you guys dont have rego inspections in SA do you...? So I spose it's fair that cops go on missions to defect cars.

Sorry Big willy, but road safety is pretty important, so it's good to see cops out there doing this sort of thing.

At my last rego inspection I got pinned for tyres just like that. I thought they were fine, but obviously not.

Did they fine you as well? That would be revenue raising if they did....

I dont think I would feel safe driving on tyres like yours, sorry man. But the law is the law. Tyres are pretty important man!! I hate cops to but when your rollin with a tyre like that I wouldnt expect to get away with it. Either the law will get you or that nice solid power pole on the exit of a roundabout will.

Yeah NO fine. Just a 23 dollar clearing fee. **** bastards.
And no, my car is not unroadworthy.
Go to Elizabeth and set up a permanent station - soon no cars will be coming out of that area!

Well from that photo, the wear indicators look like they are flush with the tread surface. If that is the case, your car is unroadworthy!

Unroadworthy in NSW or Qld or other tight ass states.

Muahahahaha.

But heck, its the outside thats worn, not the inside. And that problem was caused from the loose steering arm bolts onto the hub.
Still got plenty of tread left.
Oh and for good traction, no tread is required - ask the racers.

Cmon fire some more comments at me.

sorry willy

worn = unroadworthy

and besides.. i'm sure there's plenty of stuff you can do to your car that the racers will approve of since they've probably done it to their race cars... and that's why they have to tow them to there races.. ;)

god.... that paragraph finished me off... i'm goin to bed...

been up since 3 am...

damn endurance whorse races...
