I have just fitted extractors and twin 1.25 s/u to my 850 / 998. No air filters as yet but i cant seem to get it to fire.
I would like this to hapen so I can drive down do Midas and get them to connect / weld my system up.
What am missing????
Have I not lined the intake manifold up correctly??
And while I'm here, a choke cable for a cooper(twin s/u) must be longer than the one I took off. Mine is a bit short and hence very tight. ????
Thanks in advance
Matt

usually even if the manifold isnt lined up it will fire. Usually runs with a very high idle as it runs stupidly lean. Have you checked if you have spark. Very easy to nock off a wire. Check solenoid wires all on properly, coil wire to dizzy etc. If have spark but no fire. Try putting a little fuel down the throat of ea carby. What sort of nic are the twins in? Unless they have sat around in the dust and muck they usually pretty hard to stuff up. Replace the seat if necessary as this can be a point of crap getting stuck. PS open the bowl lid and check if there is fuel in it too.

They should be okay, picked them up from a very well known sydney mini mechanic. Said he adjusted them for me to where he would have them to run on my engine.

thanks, will look at all that again. You know the old adage: "measure twice, cut once"
Bound to be something stupidly easy.
