bmw mini is made in the uk i believe. from parts made by the cheepest bidder in a number(70?) different countries arround the world.

The Quandt family that owns the majority of BMW are originally Dutch, from the same family as William of Orange, future king of England. Therefore the BINI is English and royal with it.

Whilst William Morris is of German discent, making the mini german.
