Well I'm almost finally ready to get a RWC, rego and insurance for my clubman, for those who don't know it has a rebuilt engine and gearbox plus countless other mechanical problems fixed. Ultimately I'm drawn to owning a round nose and I think with all the time and dollars I've spent it would make economic sense to put all my mechanicals into a roundie shell and sell the clubman as a bare shell. I know that could take some time but 18 months has past without being able to hit the road so what's a bit more time.

So what do you all reckon, sound like a good idea?

Forget it, you've got a nice original clubby and you're almost there with getting it on the road! Get it a RWC, drive it, and enjoy the 70's feel of it. If you really feel the need to get a roundy, get another mini. 8)

Believe me if it were just up to me, I'd happily have two minis.

Don't sell now you've done all the work! Clubbies look cool too.

sumanovic: Yes I'd sell the shell with all interior. I'll put some pics up later.

glen2000: I agree clubbies look cool to especially with flares and nice wheels, I just think roundies are slightly cooler 8).

just make a flip front for your car, and have two faces, one roundy and one clubman.

Sounds like major work, but the thought of putting a round nose front on has crossed my mind before, because I actually prefer the rear of clubbies.

I think the car looks great. You would be crazy to split it up now.

It would be a shame to split it up now because it's a really good rust free original clubman and i appreciate that. If I could sell it complete and buy a good round nose with a good engine and box I'd go that way for sure.
