If you own the Rover that is in your Signature, you would be beter off posting this on a UK Site, as the doors are significantly different to any that are here in Oz. MKI's, 2's & 3's had different door locking mechanisms, and to add dificulty some of the models were different too....

Maybe a good place to start is ask someone who would know how many locking mechanism types their are, and identify them: Then you might like to help us from guessing what type you have? Please
