Post subject:  Nissan Pulsar EXA Turbo dissy

This has been bugging me for the last few weeks since I modded a D4R85. I never knew exactly what the engine was that the dissy came of other than it was a Nissan Pulsar. However when I did the mod there seemed to be more casting to remove when the lug was cut off for the clamp to fit based on the pictures and a modded 83 I looked at.

Can anyone clue me in on the type of dissy that might be found on a turbo version of the pulsar and would it be any good to use in a min situation???

Totally confused .... :? :? :?

All I can say is be careful using the EXA Turbo dissy and ensure it is the "Nissan Recalled Replacement dissy"
I use to have a Pulsar Exa and after many months of having the car stalling and hassling Nissan I was advised of a recall of the car to replace the dissy which malfunctioned when it got hot.
The last thing you would want to do is to put one of these faulty dissy's in.
This was a loing time ago and I can't remember any more on how to tell if the dissy is the "recalled replacement one".

I've got a turbo EXA one. Pretty useless on it's own as the electronic igntiotion module is in the ECU not in the dizzy. BUT according to Dr. Mini, he said you can use the inside of one into another non-turbo dizzy. As i've got an 85 dizzy, but I got an 82 turbo dizzy, which is better for a mini. Turbo ones also seem very common, as mini people haven't taken em all for this reason!
