Post subject: | Front Subframe Mounts |
Just want to know if anybody has a photo handy of how/what the subframe bolt setup should look like. FYI - mine does not have any bolts in there. No cause for concern if they're not there, it hasn't driven more than 5 blocks since I put the subframe back in. |

Depending on the subframe, it could have either bolts or studs. Hydros had bolts, most dry cars here had studs & nuts instead. Why?? ![]() |

Just amking sure we are on the same path. Sitting at front bumper height, front bumper removed. Looking at the 'holes' that are in the subframe. The front panel on mine was replaced and the whole is like the size of a 50c piece and the subframe whole about a 5c piece. I think I have a pic Doc. Can you host for me if I can dig it up? |

speaking of mounts, ours aren't the same as UK ones are they? i've never seen these teardrop mounts before. Don't we just bolt them up here? Theres no gaskets or bushes anywhere are there? |

OK here's his pic- I shrunk it a bit from its huge size... ![]() It's a late UK front panel. I guess you could find some mounts, personally I'd machine some nice alloy spacers and thru bolt it. <edit> re. my prev post- I thought you meant the TOP mount bolts.. ![]() ![]() |

Was thinking of fitting some tow hooks in there. I seen that done a few times. No that I intend for damn thing to be towed much I just like the look. No doubt Mr RTA person would consider them a hazzard. |
