Post subject: | LS1275 question |
Hi all, I have an LS1275 which I haven't driven for 10 years and currently it is not running so I cannot identify an answer to this question. Where the 3 gauges are there are two lights - one in each top corner. What are their functions for again? Is one an alternator warning light but the other...? Any help much appreciated! Cheers, Birty. |

It was nugget gold but was resprayed green back in the early 90s. Currently it is being stripped back to bare metal for repainting that is hopefully planned for in March next year. Cheers, Rob. |

Well, my O.H. is only letting me getter her (the car) on the road as long as it is painted a "fast red" so I will opting for the red with white roof "classic look". I would have loved a nice looking blue or bright yellow mini but keeping the wife happy is more important. Yes - I do know some people think that keeping the LS1275 to the two standard colours is important but I can always repaint her back to that colour years down the track if necessary. So far have placed an order for a sealed dashboard and centre console from the UK, will be getting new 12x5 inch miniators this month, have just purchased a very good set of reconditioned twin 1.25 SU carbies and am currently having fun stripping the paint off the body. This Xmas period should be a busy one! Nothing looks better than a shiny gleam of exposed clean metal. The great thing about Canberra in environment is that it is mostly dry so rust issues is not much of a problem and I found no rust in the roof channels/seams and only light surface rust in the floor panels. Battery terminal area is also rust free so I am a happy chappy about the shell I have to work with. I'll get myself organised and start posting the progress of my project in the member's gallery. Cheers, Birty. |
