Hi guys

i just bought this set off twin carbs, and i need to know what screws or plugs etc to use to block the vacume take off point and the pcv (pvc? cant remember) take off on the cooper s manifold.

If anyone can tell me where i can get them, etc, or what thead they are it would be a great help.

Heres a pic to help you see what i mean.

The threads are 5/8-18 UNF, they are NOT 3/8 BSP- (which is a pipe thread, is about 1mm bigger and 19TPI).

I take a 3/8 BSP plug, nipple, or whatever you want to screw in there, machine it to 5/8" diameter then recut the thread with a 5/8 UNF dienut.

Sure- there are/were 5/8 UNF plugs and hose nipples for this manifold which were available from BMC, I just find it easier to make my own than go hunting....
PM me if you need some made.

I found a (non-mini) sump plug that just screwed straight in. Was only about 1/2" long, so it filled the gap perfectly. Not sure if it was the right thread, it seemed to fit well though.

Not using that manifold now anyway!!
