Hey Guys,
You might remember merlin and I from a few years back?
Anyways, Im living in Townsville now and am thinking about shipping my 1978 Mini Clubman up here to race in the sprint series. 4 minutes round a go-cart track, best time wins!
Before I do this though, i was wondering if anyone knows a good mini mechanic in TSV? Or if anyone has raced their minis in the tropics before and if they had issues with over heating?
Thanks guys!
Candice

The other event you can run is the Mt Stuart Hillclimb, 4 events during the year. I've not done the sprint series but have done Mt Stuart in my race mini. An interesting run, well organised, plenty of runs.
Sorry, dont know of any mini mechanics in Tsv, I do all my own mechanical work.
I got to know Gezo fom Tsv, but think he has moved to Brisvegas now.
Happy to help out however I can. Local Cairns mini nuts are going on a run to Port Douglas and Mossman this Sunday. Steve

Thanks for the response guys!
Yeah, I know about the HillClimb, My partner Rob came first this year in our EVO. Not too confident with the Hillclimb yet as its a nasty result if you make a mistake. Will start with the sprints cause theres plenty of run off!

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

Wet cars end up being dirty cars, dirty cars need to be cleaned to be clean cars again. Cleaning my car is a HUGE effort!!!

Certainly come along. U do realise however, that Cairns is a 4 hour drive north of Townsville....... We are going from Cairns 1 hour north to Port Douglas and Mossman. Meeting at the Macca's Carpark at Smithfield this Sunday the 17th December.

Expecting to be back in Cairns mid to late afternoon.
