I have fitted my new front suspension including new(ish) cones and found there is no travel in the upper control arm. It is pushed down so far, that it is squashing the bump stop (as shown)

Is this right? Will the upper arm sit up a bit more when it is taking the weight of the car?

No, the oil and grease will get them sooner!

It will sit a lot lower with 350 pounds of pure A series muscle in there..

998 muscle....

Yea, I don't know why I bothered spending the money on those new rubbers.....I kinda think they will be useless before JAM hits the road.

Do you like the hammertone finish on the arms? I reckon it looks sweet. Might give the caliper backing plates a hit with it too!!

I'll have to remember to get caliper paint for the calipers. Can I use HI TEMP engine enamel?

You want caliper paint unless you are just posing around town. Calipers get way hotter than motors do.

The arms look good, much better than MiniRust finish....

Those rubbers are just rebound rubbers. They work when you `yump' the car, get big air, haha..

re the Honda caliper backing plates- you can trim both back corners at 45*, 50mmx50mm to save weight.. :P

Anton - just get 350 pounds of your friends and family to stand on the subframe in the engine bay and you will get an idea of what it sits like normally. :)
