Yes, the seat belts all sit in the same place, and there is a seat belt bit on the rear fender, which makes it look obvious. Still nicely done, cool pic. I was going to say (if it were real) is ding crazy mini things a normal thing for other models? Like I've seen Vans made into pickups, double axle utes, tip-truck utes, ute mokes, monster truck minis, extended BINIs the list goes on. I think it may be a mini thing as the mini is an unmistakeable piece of 'cool' and is easy to mod with subframes and front wheel drive. JL audio's main show car is a mini with a huge flat screen under the hood which forward flips for cinema in the car.

Speaking of stretched mini's/mokes etc.... years ago I was in SA and we had a dingle the place where we went to fix it was a mini mechanic forget exactly where but south of Adelaide and near Port Willunga?? cant remember now but anyways .. he had a 2.5x long round nose made into a Limo looked pretty good actually.

Weird or extreme modification is certainly not a phenomenon unique to Minis/Mokes. Check out any hot rod or custom show. People have been doing weird things to cars, as long as there have been cars.

But, cult cars lend themselves to this type of thing much more than any ordinary tin box. The Mini and VW Beetle are probably the two most modified, changed, re-designed cars around - not surprising, given their popularity and cult status.

I've seen some pretty cool VWs over the years too.

Whether this is all a good thing or bad depends on your personal perspective. Purists are horrified by such mods - especially when done to an already rare model - while customizers are always looking for something new to challenge themselves and everyone else. I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into these things, and do like many of them from a purely aesthetic point of view or because I like things that are a bit left of centre - but I would hate to see it done to a Cooper S/Clubman GT/Sports 850...any rare model, etc.

Seriously though , I agree with being able to appreciate the work that's gone into things like that (if this mokes real and other seriously modded mini's and mokes) , they may not be what the purists like but they do show what people think can do with them and they put a hell of a lot of work into them . I think it's good when you see a mini or similar show with modified and absolutely standard mini's side by side , just shows how different everyones ideas of a perfect mini are .

Yeah I believe one of the mini mechs here in bris had a limo mini. but he sold it cause people kept trashing the inside of it. that moke would be great on a safari or pub crawl. whichever had the most animals?
