Found a heap of dirt near the fuel tank. How hard is it to remove a fuel tank on a van?

Easier than a sedan I reckon anyway. Just the mounting screws may be a pain, apart from rust they are hard to see. Remember to remove the cap and fuel line/s.

jack the body up from the subframe and from memory its jsut a matter of disconnecting the sender unit and removing 6 screws that run around the join of the tank. Then take off the filler cap and slide it down and out.

not difficult at all
