Good Morning all I have yet another problem, there is no brake fluid at my drivers side bleed nipple. The pass side rear bled up fine. Nothing is squashed or anything  Its got me f'ed
has anyone else had this problem. Thanks yall, oh and a happy new year everyone |

Take the bleed nipple out and clean it - pass a bit of fine wire up the centre of it and blow it clean with compressed air - then see if you still have the problem |

The bleed holes in aftermarket (particularly Brake Equipment brand) rear wheel cylinders are real fine, and fill with crud. Take the nipple out, if the nipple's clear poke a coat hanger end or a tiny drill bit into the cylinder bleed hole.

also check that the hose from the bdy to the wheel line isnt stuffed i had asimilar problem and the internals of the hose had shat it self and wouldnt let compressed air at 120PSI through it  let alone fluid

I think he meant the actaul brake cylinder at the wheel, not the clutch slave cylinder....hmmm..? If it is the actual brake cylinder as in the thing that push the brake pads in drum outwards. They are cheap and a good idea to replace when brakes get old, I replaced mine last week.

i've never seen a blocked nipple but i've seen plenty of siezed wheel cylinders

Seized cylinders have NOTHING to do with brake bleeding. Even if you have No cylinder you can bleed the brake. A blocked cylinder is highly unlikely as there is nothing in there to block it. The nipple on the other hand gets exposed to all sorts of dust and dirt. Remove the whole nipple and see if you start dripping fluid. If it does then it's a block nipple. If it doesn't drip then it's a blockage further up the system. Next to the nipple I would check the brake hose as they tend to block up too after 35 odd years... |

Don't know if I agree with that statement...I have seen some appalling crud inside wheel cylinders where the seals had blown or the dust covers gone and left exposed to collect water and brake dust....neglected, rusted wheel cylinders are not a pretty sight. |

I think we have a conflict of terminology. A siezed cylinder is one that has rusty bores and the pistons do not move out of the cylinder. A block cylinder is one that is encrusted with crap inside. A seized one has nothing to do with bleeding as fluid will still flow through the the cylinder and out the nipple. A blocked will be blocked inside and is idependant of whether the piston is rusted solid or not. So remove the nipple... unscrew it about 8 times to remove it, that should answer that question in a jiffy. Cheapest and easiest first |

thanks for all your input. I pulled the nipple of and pushed a small drill bit in the hole. A whole load of crap came out, then they bled up fine |
